While not being a veteran myself, I have always found ways to help our veterans including volunteering at the local VA hospital, organizing and helping with fund raising projects, collecting items for shipping to our troops overseas, assisting in the collection of toys for yearly Toys for Tots drives, serving on our local Memorial Day committee, and making donations to various veterans’ organizations and for the construction of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall and the National Museum of the Marine Corps.

For over 10 years I have actively served as an Associate / Life Member with the Marine Corps League, a national veterans’ organization. While serving as an appointed officer on both the state and local level, I have developed a unique bond with our veterans and now have a deeper appreciation of their needs.

As a Certified Coach, I can also serve our veterans by providing success coaching and mentoring programs at a special veterans' rate for those wishing to start their own business after serving our country.

Additionally, I am in the process of establishing contacts with those knowledgeable of the various veterans’ benefit programs and who are able to provide guidance and assistance to veterans so I can provide a list of resources to veterans seeking additional assistance.

I am also exploring ways to work with other veterans' programs like the "Marine For Life Program" which provides transition assistance to Marines who honorably leave active service and return to civilian life.
